- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Fatty liver and gallbladder conditions
- H. pylori stomach infections

Behavioral and Mental Health Evaluations
Provida Family Medicine offers all of our patients behavioral health evaluations. These evaluations are preformed by a highly-trained provider and allow us to better understand and detail any outlying behavioral difficulties a patient may be experiencing. Your doctor can then make an accurate diagnosis and create an individualized treatment plan and counseling.
At Provida Family Medicine, we work to include patients in every step of their healthcare and are happy to answer any questions or concerns you have about behavioral health evaluations.
Behavioral and Mental Health Evaluations Available:
- Anxiety and Depression
- Eating Disorders
- Bi-Polar Disorder
Rheumatic diseases are autoimmune diseases which cause your immune system to attack your joints, muscles, and bones.
After an evaluation and physical exam, one of our providers can recommend certain blood tests or imaging to help detect signs of autoimmune conditions. Some of the conditions we test/screen for include:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Sjogren’s syndrome
These disorders differ from “regular” arthritis, which is the common deterioration of the joints as we age.
Osteoporosis is a condition which causes the bones to become brittle, often affecting the hip, spine and wrist. Many people have little to no symptoms until they experience a bone break or fracture. Treatments for osteoporosis include medications, following a healthy diet, quitting smoking, and daily weight-bearing exercises to prevent bone loss and strengthen weak bones. Screening for this condition with a DEXA scan usually starts at age 65.
Urinary and Vaginal Health
Women are at greater risk of developing urinary tract infections compared to men. The urethra, or tube that leads from the outside of the body to the bladder, is shorter in females, making it easier for bacteria to climb up into the bladder. Common symptoms include burning with urination, frequent urination, cloudy or foul-smelling urine, or pelvic pain.
Vaginal health is a delicate balance of different yeasts and bacteria living in harmony. Many different triggers can disrupt this balance, leading to an overgrowth of yeast or bacteria. This causes a variety of symptoms and infections.
These are sensitive subjects that will be treated with compassion and professionalism. We are well equipped to treat UTIs, yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, urinary incontinence, and other infections like chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, and herpes.
We are also able to assist in the evaluation and treatment of menopausal conditions like changes in mood, frequent UTIs, vaginal dryness, and libido through both prescription and natural supplements.
